The Principle of Induction Heating (IH)
Induction Heating (IH) refers to electromagnetic induction heating.

- A. Magnetic Field Generating Coil: A magnetic field is created by coils located beneath the ceramic glass surface.
- B. Eddy Currents: This magnetic field induces eddy currents in the bottom of ferrous (iron-containing) cookware.
- C. Inverter Circuit: The inverter circuit controls the frequency and power of the magnetic field.
- 이러한 와전류는 조리기구 바닥의 전기 저항을 만나 전기 에너지를 직접 열로 변환합니다. 이 과정을 통해 조리 용기 바닥이 효율적으로 가열됩니다.
- Because heat is generated directly within the cookware’s base, induction cooktops are highly efficient and heat up very quickly.
에너지 절약 팁
To conserve energy, please follow these guidelines:
- Always place your pan or pot on the cooking zone before turning it on.
- A dirty cooking zone or pan bottom will consume more power.
- If your cookware has a lid, ensure it’s tightly covered.
- Turn off the cooking zone before the cooking time is completely finished and use the residual heat to warm or defrost food.
Note:
- Do not use a single piece of cookware to cover both the left and right cooking zones simultaneously.
Suitable Cookware for Induction Cooktops

Using unsuitable cookware can lead to no operation or reduced power output.
- Some induction-compatible cookware sold on the market has a thin magnetic layer attached to the bottom for induction operation. These may not work properly due to weak magnetism (the magnet sticks weakly or the magnetic area is small).
Always check the full diameter of the magnetic portion of the cookware.
- 권장 크기: 140mm ~ 240mm

주의:
- The bottom of the cookware must be flat.
- Even with compatible cookware, the power output can vary depending on the material or shape of the vessel.
- Cookware made of unsuitable materials may not heat up.
- Do not heat grills or grates directly on the cooktop. This can lead to overheating, reduced power, or the power shutting off for safety.
- Only use cookware where a magnet sticks to the bottom and that is guaranteed by the manufacturer for IH or induction use.
- If you are not cooking with stainless steel cookware, heat conductivity may be lower than stainless steel, potentially increasing cooking time.
- Damaged cookware bottoms can cause discoloration of the ceramic glass top or stick to it, leading to damage to the cooktop.
- Always use cookware with a clean and dry bottom.
- 요리하는 음식의 양에 맞는 크기의 조리도구를 사용하세요.
Pan Size
Induction cooking zones automatically adjust their area within a certain limit based on the size of the cookware’s bottom. However, the minimum diameter of the cookware’s bottom surface must comply with the cooking zone’s restricted area.
