i-PEDAL
This is a function that allows driving (acceleration/deceleration) and stopping using only the accelerator pedal.
Operating method
When the left paddle shift lever is pulled once in regenerative braking stage 3, the i-pedal function is turned on and the phrase ‘i-PEDAL’ is displayed on the cluster. When the i-pedal function is turned on and the right paddle shift lever is pulled once or when the shift lever is shifted from “R” (reverse) to “D” (drive), the i-pedal function is turned off and the regenerative braking stage 3 is changed.
Non-operating conditions
Roads with steep uphill or downhill slopes
At the end of a slope
When repeatedly starting and stopping on a slope
Warning
Stopping may not be possible depending on the vehicle and road conditions. Check the road conditions and driving conditions ahead and, if necessary, step on the brake pedal to directly control the speed.
Always look ahead when driving with the i-pedal.
If emergency braking is necessary, stop using the brake pedal.
Do not use the i-pedal function on slippery roads. Accidents may occur.
Caution
Always maintain a safe braking distance, and if necessary, step on the brake pedal to reduce the speed directly.
The i-pedal function is a convenience device for the driver, not a safety device. The driver must use his or her own judgment to ensure vehicle safety and control.
In order to use the i-pedal function more safely, be sure to read and practice the user manual before using it.
Maintain a safe distance according to the vehicle speed and road conditions.
In the following cases, the regenerative braking amount cannot be changed with the paddle shift.
- The lever’s 「
」, 「
」Pull the sides at the same time 「
」With the side pulled 「
」If you pull the side - When the vehicle slows down by operating the brake pedal
- When the smart cruise control is in operation
- When regenerative braking continues with the battery charge at 100%
- When driving in SNOW mode
- When attaching a trailer
