TalkBack
Use special controls and settings that let you navigate using your voice.
- From Settings, tap Accessibility > TalkBack.
- Tap to enable the feature, and tap an option to customize:
l TalkBack shortcut: Choose a shortcut to quickly turn on TalkBack.
l Settings: Configure TalkBack settings to better assist you.
l App info: Review TalkBack app information such as the version number.
Hearing enhancements
You can configure settings to help you interact with your device’s sounds, including
captioning, sound balance, and hearing aid support. Options may vary by service
provider.
◌ From Settings, tap Accessibility > Hearing enhancements and tap an option:
- Real time text: Activate real-time text (RTT) calling.
- Live Transcribe: Use the microphone to record speech and convert it to text.
- Live Caption: Automatically caption speech in media played on your device.
- Caption preference: Configure closed caption and subtitle services.
- Hearing aid support: Improve the sound quality to work better with hearing
aids. - Sound notifications: Receive alerts when the device detects a baby crying or
a doorbell. - Amplify ambient sound: Enable this feature and connect headphones to your
device to amplify the sounds of conversations. - Adapt sound: Customize the sound for each ear and enhance your listening
experience. - Mute all sounds: Turn off all notifications and audio for privacy.
- Mono audio: Switch audio from stereo to mono.
- Left/right sound balance: Use the sliders to adjust the left and right balance
for connected audio and device speakers.
